The Awara Mattress is one of the latest mattress in a box brands to hit the online market. Awara is part of the Resident family of brands. Resident is a direct to consumer home company that includes several popular mattresses, rugs, and couches. Their mission is to help people get better sleep. The Awara Mattress is 100% organic and chemical free. All natural mattresses have become more and more popular over the last few years as consumers have become more eco friendly. Many Awara Mattress reviews point out that, In addition to being kind to the environment during the mattress making process, Awara plants 10 fruit trees for every mattress purchased. Fruit trees are planted in Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, Guinea, and Tanzania. Learn more about the Awara Mattress below.
The Awara Mattress is a natural latex hybrid mattress. Natural latex from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree is collected, whipped, poured, and baked into foam. Awara uses the Dunlop latex process to turn the latex into foam. The Dunlop latex process is more eco friendly than the Talalay latex process because it takes less steps. Awara chose New Zealand wool to create the plush pillow top and organic cotton to make up the cover. Wool is an all natural fire retardant that also promotes cooling and airflow. The cotton cover is moisture wicking and super soft. Under these layers is a layer of individually wrapped coils that provide support and spinal alignment while isolating motion transfer between multiple bed partners.
Many people are sensitive to the chemical smell that mattresses have when they are brand new. Off gassing is common for mattresses in a box as well as those from the furniture store. Since Awara is 100% chemical free, the mattress did not have a noticeable off gassing smell when it arrived.
All sleepers should find a pillow top mattress to be very comfortable. The pillow top serves as a plush comfort layer that side sleepers, back sleepers, and even stomach sleepers will find comfortable. Our Awara Mattress reviews scored the Awara Mattress a 6.5 on a scale of 10 for firmness. The 9 inch individually wrapped coils underneath the 4 inch latex layer contour to the sleeper’s body provides excellent pressure relief.
Our Awara Mattress Reviews rated this a near perfect 99/100 which is 5 stars and a “Strong Buy” Recommendation. We think this is a great mattress and, with the caveats we mentioned before, think this is worth your money, and time. Check back for more Awara Mattress Reviews in the future.
