Fruit trees are planted in Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, Guinea, and Tanzania. Learn more about the Awara Mattress below.
What is the Awara Mattress made of?
The Awara Mattress is a natural latex hybrid mattress. Natural latex from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree is collected, whipped, poured, and baked into foam. Awara uses the Dunlop latex process to turn the latex into foam. The Dunlop latex process is more eco friendly than the Talalay latex process because it takes less steps. Awara chose New Zealand wool to create the plush pillow top and organic cotton to make up the cover. Wool is an all natural fire retardant that also promotes cooling and airflow. The cotton cover is moisture wicking and super soft. Under these layers is a layer of individually wrapped coils that provide support and spinal alignment while isolating motion transfer between multiple bed partners.
Does the Awara Mattress Have A Smell When Opened?
Many people are sensitive to the chemical smell that mattresses have when they are brand new. Off gassing is common for mattresses in a box as well as those from the furniture store. Since Awara is 100% chemical free, the mattress did not have a noticeable off gassing smell when it arrived.
What sleep style is best Awara Mattress?
All sleepers should find a pillow top mattress to be very comfortable. The pillow top serves as a plush comfort layer that side sleepers, back sleepers, and even stomach sleepers will find comfortable. Our Awara Mattress reviews scored the Awara Mattress a 6.5 on a scale of 10 for firmness. The 9 inch individually wrapped coils underneath the 4 inch latex layer contour to the sleeper’s body provides excellent pressure relief.
What’s the difference in latex mattresses vs. memory foam mattresses?
Dunlop latex mattresses are more buoyant than memory foam mattresses. Common complaints of memory foam mattresses revolve around sleeping hot and sinking too far into the mattress. With a Dunlop latex mattress, the sleeper will sleep on top of the mattress instead of sinking deep inside the mattress. Dunlop latex mattresses are popular amongst hot sleepers due to their excellent temperature regulation properties. Latex mattresses are also known for being extremely durable. Most latex mattresses last 25 or more years while the average mattress lifespan of a memory foam mattress is 7-10 years.
How much does the Awara Mattress Cost?
Awara Mattress reviews generally regard this as a very affordable mattress and much cheaper than other Dunlop latex mattresses. Also, Awara offers financing to those that qualify at 0% APR.
- Twin Mattress- $699
- Twin XL Mattress- $799
- Full Mattress- $899
- Queen Mattress- $999
- King Mattress-$1,199
- California King Mattress- $1,199
What type of bed frame is best for Awara?
Awara Mattress works well with a sturdy platform bed frame, adjustable base, or on top of a box spring. We prefer a low bed frame for all of our reviews. Our preferred rustic bed frame is easy to assemble and sturdy for all mattress types. Awara should not sit directly on the floor since proper ventilation and temperature regulation is less effective on the floor. Hybrid mattresses and latex mattresses are always heavier than memory foam mattresses so with this in mind, choose a bed frame that is sturdy. For example, a queen size mattress weighs 129 pounds and a king size mattress weighs 162 pounds.
Final Thoughts on the Awara Mattress
The Awara Mattress is even nicer than we had expected. We have reviewed hundreds of mattresses in a box over the past few years. The Awara Mattress has a 365 night sleep trial, lifetime warranty, is 100% organic and chemical free, features a lush pillow top, and sells for a fraction of what other’s are selling their organic mattresses. Our Awara Mattress reviews found that Awara paid attention top details. Little things like the extra handles on the mattress cover that make it much easier to setup and move. At $999 for a queen size mattress, the Awara Mattress is an excellent value. If you are in the market for an organic mattress, Awara is the most affordably priced organic mattress on the market.
